Goodwill Protection Services is a young, dynamic, privately owned and operated company in the Property, Residential and Industrial security sectors as well as a highly recognized Events & Sport Management service provider. We are known by our clients for our superior service and guarding standards. We are proud to be a 100% South African owned and run company.

COMPANY HISTORY

The current Managing Member, Alwyn Blignaut started his own security division after negotiation with a Company called Tracker JHB - Event Management to make use of their infra structure in January 2003.

Goodwill Protection Services was established on 1 October 2003.

Offices were rented in Johannesburg Central and an infra- structure was put in place.

The Management of GPS are all highly experienced persons in their respective fields and are highly competent and extremely dedicated to reach the pinnacle of success. Between them they have more than twenty years of administrative and operational experience in the Security Industry covering all aspects and types of security that may be required.

All of the Site Seniors are paid monthly performance bonus’s over and above their normal salaries, with the understanding that should the service levels not be at an optimum at all times they would forfeit this bonus.

Goodwill Protection Services have also learned through experience that the personal contact with their clients may never be diluted to the attention of a manager or a supervisor. Therefore our commitment to our clients is that they will only communicate with Management directly and no one else, in order to ensure the highest level of service.

QUALITY ASSURANCE POLICY

Goodwill Protection Services is one of the few service providers to qualify as a registered SETA approved training provider. The previous training standards and qualifications obtained by guarding personnel are no longer going to be accepted. This means that the whole Security Industry will need to be retrained and registered according to the new SETA standards. This will purge the market of the “fake” qualifications and under skilled personnel that have infiltrated the market.

As we place the safety of our clients and their families above all else, we are proud to be one of the few training providers to assist in this industry makeover. MANAGEMENT EFFICIENCY

All the services listed are available and operational on a 24hrs, seven days a week basis.

Goodwill Protection Services has a policy that a budget is presented by the Managing Member at the end of every month for the new month, as a point of discussion by all relative parties during the management meeting. The Managing member also has a Bi-Monthly meeting with the company's auditors to discuss al relative matters, budgets, cash flow, profits management etc.

Due to the nature of the business Goodwill Protection Services operates a very strict disciplinary procedure in order to further the aims and objectives of the company. All employees are required to render responsible, diligent and honest service to the company.

The company in the course and scope of exercising its "right to manage" will not hesitate to institute Disciplinary measures against an employee who fails or refuse to carry out his /her duties and fulfils his/her obligations, or alternatively, whom is reasonably proven to have breached the company code of conduct.

EXCELLENCE GUARANTEE

Goodwill Protection Services being service orientated performs the following, for the benefit of both staff and clients:

  • Diligent and Comprehensive Management of the guards via effective Inspection and      constant Managerial involvement on ground level.
  • A Pro-active Management that results in Pro-active Guards
  • Tri-monthly written evaluation of all guards to ensure a constant acceptable level of service delivery.
  • On site training of all guards by Management alone, to ensure that all guards are  thoroughly knowledgeable of their duties.
  • Supervisors visit all sites once in every twenty-four hour shift cycle seven day's a week.
  • Proper design and implementation of a workable job description in conjunction with the client and the tenants by GPS Management.
  • Establishing a 24hr, direct line of communication with the Management of GPS to eliminate long turn around times when problems do occur.
  • Electronic monitoring of guard patrolling routines with the data available on request. Reports available on requests.
  • Top Management visit all sites at least twice a week.
